ios auv3 - noteout spamming

when you send a single note on or off out, it sends a blast of note on's or off's

this is only occurring with the auv3. i tried the same simple patch in the main ios app, sending midi into drambo and the monitor did not show any spamming.

plugdata vs 0.8.4, ios 16.7.8
