3D plots show loading state while rendering

Obviously 3D plot performance is not great and can cause a bit of lag when rendering (especially the first time). I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to showing something like a busy spinner while the plot renders to make the user experience a bit better in these scenarios?

2D plot is also slow...
