hight cpu usage

Hello thank's for this extension When i open brave browser with only the new tab open it take 100% cpu use of 1 core. If there are other tabs that are opened the cpu usage decrease. And it returns to 100% when the new tab is selected.

I'm on linux with brave browser Version 1.22.71 Chromium: 89.0.4389.114 (Build officiel) (64 bits) and Markdown New Tab Version 19.7.24
