TV Mode “LIST view” is not kept in subfolders (reverts to GRID)

I have no way of knowing if this is a bug or intentional behavior:

Upgraded to 2.54.0 from 2.38.0 in an unsuccessful attempt to fix poor 480i mpeg2video playback but sadly discovered GUI behavior changed when listing folders. On library level, we can chose between GRID and LIST view… I select LIST view then select a folder. Once in that folder, the view changes the GRID but I no longer have the option to change to LIST again.

Upgraded to 2.55.0 and found the same behavior. 2.38.0 was fine!

Test environment

PMS Version: 1.16.3.1402 PMP Version: 2.55.0 AND 2.54.0 Platform (Windows/macOS/Embedded RPi/Embedded Intel): Windows 10 Pro (1809)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set to TV Mode
  2. Configure to view FOLDERS
  3. Set to "LIST view"
  4. Open folder known to contain subfolders

Current behavior

  1. Switches to "GRID view" AND does not allow switching (no button shown)

Expected behavior

1.Preserve "LIST view" from upper level AND/OR allow switching by showing button

Confirmed that list view is preserved when navigating through folders in 2.38.0.1000-e14e4d74. This seems to have regressed in 2.41.0.1010-286e05db

Hey Paulo! Any chance to see a fix in a near future? I've been sticking to 2.38 just because of this!
