Windows 10: PMP install fails on 2.25.0.940

I'm trying to upgrade my PMP installation from 2.24.0 to 2.25.0.940, and the installer fails every time I run it. When I just accept the "upgrade plex" dialog box, the installer that is downloaded freezes and I need to force-quit it from Task Manager. So I tried downloading the installer from plex.tv, which exits with an error message. I'll attach the logs, but the relevant line seems to be Error 0x80070652: Failed to install MSI package.

The previous version, 2.24.0, is working fine on my machine.

Test environment

PMS Version: 3.77.2 PMP Version: Plex 2.24.0 Platform (Windows/macOS/Embedded RPi/Embedded Intel): 64-bit Windows 10 Pro 1803 (Build 17134.523); Dell XPS 15 9750 laptop.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Download PMP 64-bit installer from plex.tv

Current behavior

  1. Installation fails

Expected behavior

  1. Installation succeeds
