Subtitles don't display for the first 10 seconds of the video

Description:

Subtitles don't display for the first 10 seconds of the video, will "pop in" mid sentence exactly at 10 seconds. Subtitles are in the .mkv container. Happens with .ass, don't know about .srt or .pgs, will check.

Have the same issue when I play .ASS subtitles. Have to play 10 seconds and then rewind to the beginning. Also using Android TV client 18.9 and 0.2.1 add-on version.

I've been looking for somebody, anybody with this exact issue! I recently discovered I was having the same problem with SRT subs on Kodi 19 with my Nvidia Shield TV. VOBsub and PGS are also affected. Kodi 18.9 worked perfectly fine. This appears to be a problem with the official repository and not just this or pannal's fork.

The only fix I've managed to find is to create external subs and place them next to the MKV file, SRT in my case. Plex For Kodi will then successfully display the subtitles from the very start. Certainly not an ideal solution for anyone who's deaf/hard-of-hearing/watches a lot of foreign movies/tv and/or anime.
