Cert install fails with Failed authorization procedure

Open andyduo opened this issue 8 years ago • 0 comments

Using Plesk 12.5 on windows server 2012

I managed to get this to work once on a domain but now it constantly fails when I try to install a certificate.

The domain is set correctly and the site can be browsed on the net so not sure why this keeps failing. I have tried on two separate domains with the same result.

Error: Let's Encrypt SSL certificate installation failed: Failed letsencrypt execution: Failed authorization procedure. www.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.co.nz (http-01): urn:acme:error:unauthorized :: The client lacks sufficient authorization :: Invalid response from http://www.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.co.nz/.well-known/acme-challenge/u00QugXpgnNRyorrOhwtlD8412eOfuuWYzA5xGkUA5s: "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http", zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.co.nz (http-01): urn:acme:error:unauthorized :: The client lacks sufficient authorization :: Invalid response from http://zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.co.nz/.well-known/acme-challenge/BhT0kKWLCmuGBZpe31Fv32SGWPKU0MFtNxb0jmBcIec: "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http" IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • The following errors were reported by the server:

Domain: www.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.co.nz Type: unauthorized Detail: Invalid response from http://www.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.co.nz /.well-known/acme- challenge/u00QugXpgnNRyorrOhwtlD8412eOfuuWYzA5xGkUA5s: "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http"

Domain: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.co.nz Type: unauthorized Detail: Invalid response from http://zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.co.nz /.well-known/acme- challenge/BhT0kKWLCmuGBZpe31Fv32SGWPKU0MFtNxb0jmBcIec: "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http"

To fix these errors, please make sure that your domain name was entered correctly and the DNS A record(s) for that domain contain(s) the right IP address.

Any thoughts on h ow I can get this working again?

Thanks!
