This update is blocked by https://github.com/akka/akka-grpc/issues/1728 😞 I asked Patrick and Johan about ability to have an OSS release with this fix https://github.com/akka/akka-grpc/pull/1781 Of course, I'll try to find workaround, but by the first look we stuck on 2.1.5 and can't update to the 2.1.6.

So, then we won't update to 2.1.6 never and can close this PR 🤷‍♂️ I don't know a good way to override a private object method on our side. And I don't want to copy&paste a full sources, of course. For the next releases we will migrate to Pekko gRPC of course. But it looks as if we stucked on 2.1.5 for Play 2.8/2.9. But Maybe isn't a problem 🤔

I am closing this now, because there is nothing we can do. People can still upgrade to BSL licensed dependencies themselves.
