Animation Splat Issue
When I try and animate a sequence, I load it in fine, and it runs through the animation. But it is upside down, when I try and rotate it or make any changes, I get the menu 'You have unsaved changes. Are you sure you want to reset the scene?' When I click 'No' nothing happens forcing me to click 'Yes' in which any changes I made gets reset. Could the menu please get fixed so I could make changes to my animation? Thanks.
Hi @Animeniacking ,
Yes, I'm really sorry. We only added very simple support for PLY sequences.
Can I just ask how you are using the PLY sequences currently? What types of things would you like to edit?
For example, do you want to rotate the PLY sequence and have SuperSplat update them, or something else?
Thanks!
Hi @slimbuck The .plys I load in by default is upside down, which is fine, I can rotate it. But when I load in a .ply sequence if I try to change any simple thing e.g: rotate the sequence 180 or change the frame rate, I get prompted with the menu, "You have unsaved changes. Are you sure you want to reset the scene?" For the yes and no option the 'no' option doesn't work, which means any changes I try and implement and click play, it just wants to reset my scene, which I don't want. Thanks!
Yes very annoying.
I will try carve out some time this week to iterate on our ply sequence support:
- allow rotating/reorienting the model
- support loading compressed.ply format without decompressing (which will be much faster to load and render)
Thanks so much @slimbuck !
Hi @slimbuck , Thanks so much for looking at my previous query. For the animation side of exporting, when I try and click 'render' and render a video out I get errors and I am unable to export. When I try export offline I get, "VideoEncoder is not defined" and when I try and export online I get "cannot destructure properly instance of e.entity.gsplat as it is defined" Would it be possible to fix this please for offline and online export? Would it also be possible to add a custom fps? Thanks!

I'm so sorry, I've been busy working on our runtime and SOGS support and I've not had a chance to look at this yet. Hopefully soon though. (No promises).
