Add a startup profiler
A tool similar to the visual performance profiler but for profiling start up times in the launch page. As yaustar mentioned, the launch page does things slightly differently to production builds. However, even if it just console logged the time spent at each stage as shown in yaustar's tutorial, that would be useful to developers trying to optimize start up times, particularly on low end devices.

Remote debugging with Chrome / Safari in the Networking tab has excellent insights on startup timings. You can see the assets loading timeline, when rendering starts, how long each stage takes, etc.
