Could not load recent projects

Getting the following error when entering platformio under VS code:

Could not load recent projects Server error: {"type":"AssertionError","args":[],"message":""}

The error occurs since I installed the last update.

PlatformIO Core: 6.1.5a4 Home: 3.4.3

Problem occurs only when Auto Build Marlin is installed and a marlin-project is "assigned".
