This package is no longer updated. The latest working and updated fork is TERMINUS.

This is a message for anyone coming to this issues page because their atom-ide terminal has broken. As of writing this issue report, the latest working fork is called Terminus.

I installed terminus and uninstalled the platformio-ide-terminal and restarted however platformio-ide just reinstalled the platformio-ide-terminal again and the bug popped up again.

Disabling platformio-ide-terminal instead of uninstalling platformio-ide-terminal resolved this issue for me.

Just wanted to share my experience in case others come across this as well.
