[Feature Request] Support Arduino framework for Atmel SAMD21 Xplained Pro

Hello all,

I am interested in adding support for the Arduino framework for SAMD21 Xpro.

From my search, there is already a ready codebase for using the board in the Arduino IDE: https://github.com/AtmelUniversityFrance/atmel-samd21-xpro-boardmanagermodule

I suppose the need is for this code to be added in the proper formats and configuration for PlatformIO?

I am interested if there is something special/planned or stopping this integration?
