Actions for the HS220

Open ssambhi900 opened this issue 5 years ago • 3 comments

Expected Behavior

Bring the ability to setup automations based on Double Press and Long Press. HomeKit allows you to setup actions such as these on some devices. The Kasa app allows the HS220 to have special actions assigned to Long Press and Double Press. Would be great to be able to trigger automations based on these.

Current Behaviour

Currently, accessing settings for an HS220 in HomeKit does not expose these triggers.

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

Not really a bug. More of a feature request

I don't have one of these devices so it would be hard for me to add this feature without more information. If you have documentation or an example of this working in another project I might be able to add support.

Hi Patrick, I’m happy to send you the instructions that come with it. I’ll attach link below. I’m not really experienced programming anything HomeKit/homebridge.

Here is a screenshot of the device settings on the Kasa mobile app

First time I am using this plug-in. My Kasa app shows my HS220 and can control it. It is running version 1.0.4 firmware. However the Home app does not show it. I even tried setting the device IP address manually in config but that still did not help. Any suggestion on how to debug my setup?
