Playing music over Bluetooth can be choppy
I've always used a 3.5mm cable in the past for reliability, but have recently been using Bluetooth to play music to a couple of different stereo systems. This has exhibited some strange behaviour in regard to choppy music that seems to differ on each:
- With my Mum's car:
- Music is sometimes briefly choppy
- When choppiness occurs, turning the screen on seems to reduce it
- With my mate's Bluetooth speaker:
- Music is unlistenable - choppy every few seconds
- Neither proximity nor turning the screen on seem to make a difference
- With my parents' camper van:
- Sometimes disconnects and then reconnects like a minute later
- Seems to consistently pause a couple of minutes into a trip (roughly equivalent to the length of a song)
In case it makes a difference, this was with Spotify, and a Pebble connected also.
Device: Cosmo Communicator Android build number: Cosmo-9.0-Planet-02032021-V25
My Astro also has the bad issues with the noise. My first Gen Gemini has the same issues, that was solved with the second one. I use a Samsung (or Stouchi) USB-C-Adapter to 3,5 mm, Model Y6 with great success - integrated DAC 48 kHz 16 bit. Also the control of the headphone works. Costs: ca. 10 Euros. But the Loading of the battery does not function via the other USB-Port!
