Astro Slide System Update Available - But isnt

I understand that this has been mentioned and explored on the discord channels but in the light that this is the place to raise issues.

My Astro Slide informs me at least once a day with green notification LED that there is new firmware available to download, when there is not when checking the notification. I understand the update servers error message upon checking has been fixed, but my device is still telling my something I know is not true.

I do not wish to ignore it in fear of actually missing a freshly baked, errors removed Device update.

I don't know why it's happening, but I proposed to Planet my new OTA service yesterday, and I think it's being looked into. This new OTA service is privacy-respecting, and less network heavy.

However, I think the Deejay-Dota, DigiTime, and the other Google updater all need to be purged in future updates, and replaced with one unified app... I also know you can't disable the notification, but this happened with Cosmo's CoDi updater as well :|

Is there a prospect to regular updates (automatic builds with security fixes only), actually? Still rather hoping we get LineageOS builds going.

There has been a bit of a discussion on the Discord channel lately around the LineageOS. I too have my fingers crossed.

This issue seems to have resolved itself with the latest firmware.

Sorry on second check, it turned out my attempts to silence the update notification this time around actually worked... until I rebooted. Happy for this to be reopened.
