covscan reports
Hi Piotr - someone sent a big listing of running covscan on all of TL (https://github.com/TeX-Live/texlive-source/issues/11). I have extracted the reports for chktex and attach them here. Looks like many are about the generated output, but maybe othes are valid ... covscan-detex.txt
Hello, I am not actively developing the project. I can do simple little changes, but this looks like quite an effort. I would be happy to get a Pull Request for this.

We (BooksInBytes) funded the initial development and we were in the hopes that you would be interested and remain as the lead developer. If you are not ready for that we will be glad to take over.
