Intermittent segfaults in `casa-python` method `scansforfield` on OSX 10.11

Reported by Thoughtworks folks (CC @pandearti).

When calling msmetadata.scansforfield on OSX 10.11, it apparently segfaults intermittently.

System: OSX 10.11, Python 2.7, casa-nrao-casacore 4.5, casa-python 4.6.0, casa-tools 4.5.
