Differences between Gitcoin Passport Score and Faucet Passport Score
Thank you for enabling the PoW Faucet for Sepolia.
When trying to increase reward boost, I see differences between Gitcoin's passport score and the score that the Faucet shows (after refreshing score). The faucet recognizes the stamps but adds no value to some of them.
I hope a screenshot reflects clearly what I am trying to say:
In addition to the ones in the screenshots, the "ZksyncEra" stamp adds no value neither.
I suspect it has to do with updating something on the Faucet's code?
Hope I explained myself clearly and thank you very much for creating such service!!!
Heya,
Thanks for your report. There is currently a manual step from my side required to give new stamp types a actual score value.
So yea, there seem to be quite a few on your passport that do not have a score yet:
- CivicCaptchaPass
- githubAccountCreationGte#180
- githubAccountCreationGte#90
- GuildMember
- ZksyncEra
I'll check for other missing ones and will add a score to these in the next days :) If anyone has other stamps with missing scores, please feel free to mention it here
I've added these 5 stamps with a score of 1 and slightly increased the score matrix by 2 points. So there are in theory 5 new stamps with 5 additional points, but there are 2 more points required to get the same reward boost factor as before.

A few more stamps that need some scoring from my side... I think I'll gonna have to review them all or switch over to the passport scoring.
Switching over to the passport scoring model would need some code changes - especially the manual verification & all scoring related code needs to be removed. However, when doing that, the faucet completely depends on the score values from gitcoin. If they mess up at some point, or shoot over their score, the faucet will be directly affected by that. With the current model the faucet still has control over the scoring and can validate stamp integrity itself. I'm not sure if I want to change that.
I will be waiting for developments

There were actually a lot more stamps that either had a score but do not exist anymore, or had no score yet. I've re-scored all available stamps now. New scoring matrix is configured for the goerli & sepolia instance,
Also adjusted the boost factors. There are in theory 107 score points max. The max boost factor of 6x is applied with 40 points.
Hello. Could you please look into new Gitcoin passport scoring system. They reworked Eth stamps and removed Facebook stamp. Greatly appreciated
I've updated the stamp mapping :) Actually quite many stamps changed :D
Thank you very much. Now all my stamps are recognized. Did you change how the Hashrate is calculated? Because I think my current hash rate is lower now.
The hasrate should only depend on your hardware.. However, the rewards you get for each hash depends on the faucet activity. There's currently a quite high activity, so the faucet automatically adjusts the rewards to meet the global daily outflow limit.
Does the faucet suddenly show a lower hashrate for you? Or do you just get less ETH for mining with the same hashrate?
Hello. Today I mined a bit of goerli. Got more goerli, because of higher boost. But the hash rate I think it was lower. Today I varied from 100-150, but usually it is around 150-200 I think. I don't monitor the hash rate very closely. Just at the beginning and end when I claim funds. Hope it helps.
Best regards

so do i get a boost with a 20 score on gitcoin passport?
yes :) The faucet starts giving out extra rewards for a score > 15. The higher the score, the higher the reward factor. The faucet should show this on the UI :)
