[Feature Request] Select position of the pop-up with keyboard shortcuts

Hi @pjeby,

Thanks a lot for this great plugin, I really can't make the default explorer working for me.

I have just one thing I'd like to see. Would it be possible to have a setting to select where the pop-up appears when uses the hotkeys?

Currently, it opens up in the bottom status bar, which is very far from the rest of the content on my screen: image

Instead, would it be possible to have option to open it:

  • In the filename, like when we click on it? image
  • On the top left, where the file explorer normally stands?

Thanks a lot for your help!

If you want it to use the filename, you can use the Style Settings plugin to disable the default QE location. If you want it to be in the top left of the title bar, set Obsidian to use the "Obsidian frame" style in Settings > Appearance > Advanced.

I don't have any current plans to make any of these options keyboard-selectable, but you can switch among them any time by making changes in settings. (And of course you can always click the one you'd like to use directly.)

If you want it to be in the top left of the title bar, set Obsidian to use the "Obsidian frame" style in Settings > Appearance > Advanced.

That wastes too much vertical space to be usable for me.

Ah that works perfectly, thanks :D I didn't realize it'd be that painless once Style Settings was installed!

Maybe it warrants adding a screenshot so people aren't scared and can see there's no css to ever touch. css scares me: image
