Feature request: sound compare
Nice work on the tool!
That said lately I've been missing a feture to compare not just the picture, but sound too. A basic simultaneous sund playback would be awesome already to try and hear shifts by ear, but a more sophiscticated overlay of waveforms would be even better.

Audio is going to add a whole new layer of complexity, and I can't decide if it's the right thing for video-compare or not. Personally, I'm not going to work on this, but if someone wants to take a crack at it and send me a PR for basic synced audio support, please do so.
Would it be complex to play back the audio of two videos (included in the media file), one in each ear? Or even potentially fade between both audio tracks as you fade between the videos.
If such a feature is added, a simple switching between two streams would work best IMO. And I would add a visual clue that lets you know which stream is playing. That's how existing audio comparison tools work. Fading/overlapping or different left and right channel streams to me seem like gimmicks that aren't actually useful.
