Rumble motors do not turn off once they start

When I do anything that causes the joycons to rumble, the rumble doesn't stop until I remove the joycons and reconnect them. Is there a fix?

Personally I always disable rumble so I hadn't looked into it. I can check to see if anything can be done about it but it might take a while since I will have to reinstall Ubuntu first.
