Fails at the last stage with iPhone 5 / iOS 8.4.1

I'm trying to side-load etason.ipa onto my old iPhone 5. Unfortunately this fails at the last stage ("Sending the provisioning profiles..."). I've tested this both on Mojave and on High Sierra. The phone reports "0x481000 handle_connection: Could not receive request from host.".

Since this is the last jailbreak option for this hardware/firmware combination it would be amazing if you could get it to work. Thanks!
