Apple ID details

Open sapcons opened this issue 5 years ago • 12 comments

Plug in is activated AltDeploy is asking for Apple-ID details without saving it. Does not start installation of IPA. Always goes back to Apple-ID screen.

Removed all files, but this did not resolve the problem.

Are you using an app-specific password or your own account password?

Note: There are some on-going issues with app specific passwords. Therefore, you have to login with your own password for it to work

I tried both. It seems to me that once you have entered user/pw, you cannot change it again. At least it doesn't do anything when you are entering new apple id info. Even after removing all the files from my laptop and reinstalling it. Is there any other place where this information is stored?

I hope you don't close it again, I have the same problem, and I don't want to open new issues, I want to share with people who have the same problem on this page 👍

Have you checked issue #17? It covers your problem there.

That means the credentials aren't being saved into the Keychain. Did you deny Keychain access for the app? You shouldn't do that. Also, you can change your Apple ID and password by going to the AltDeploy menu and choosing the "Apple ID" item.

I removed the entries from the keychain and reinstalled AltDeploy. I was able to enter the Apple ID info without problems. However, the installation failed with 'This action cannot be completed at this time (-22411)'. I tried the apple pw and the app specific pw.

@sapcons The Apple ID is locked due to security reasons. Try to login and unlock this Apple ID from Mail App -> Preferences -> Accounts -> Add before you use AltDeploy.

I found out that my Mac was not authorized in itunes. Authorized it. Unfortunaltey; I am receiving an error during 'finalization' Bildschirmfoto 2020-01-10 um 15 59 55

This is an unknown type of error, you can open Console.app in Launchpad -> Other, filter console logs with AltDeploy. When this error occurs, you will find an error message with the prefix Error installing app.
