[Bug]: Settings page only loads after reload

Description

Tested in pixelfed.social and on my private instance. When I go to the settings, the page stays empty and only loads after a force a reload in the browser.

Steps to reproduce

1. login
2. click on your avatar (top-righ menu)
3. select "Settings"

You will see a empty settings page. I also checked the network console of the browser while performing the steps. No request is send to the server in step 3 which might be the reason why the settings page is empty. Only when I click on reload the web front-end fetches the content from the server

At least on pixelfed.social, the "settings" button on the web version seems to link to /settings/home instead of /settings but can be manually changed to get to the settings page

this is true on self-hosted instances as well.

I confirm it happens in my self-hosted instance too (and on my account at pixelfed.social)

Edit: I invited three people to join my instance, but they were all blocked in the settings screen because it was blank. They sent me screenshot of the problem (all of them), saying that the platform wasn't working. I told them to refresh the page to see that page, but the same problem keeps happening whenever we go back to the settings section. The page should just be displayed without having to refresh it.
