"not responding" loop on android

Pixelfed app on android when uploading an image will tell android it's not responding and prompt androids dialogue box, however after pressing wait the app is completely responsive and fine but dialogue box keeps appearing ever 5 seconds or so until you press close app unlisted video linked https://youtu.be/UsG8tQGbtgA?si=KIP9Zt0ZI3cvZz9G
