unmet not working

Open dhf opened this issue 7 years ago • 8 comments

Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5

I start the app i unmutes mode, the button appears grey in the touchbar. Now i can mute the microphone via the button and it appears red. Tapping on the red button does not unmute it anymore. Unmuting via the menu items works.

@dhf Thank you, we will try to investigate that issue.

I hope that if you restart app it will work for you

No, it does not work after restarting the app. Also it always starts in "muted" mode, can you make this configurable?

@dhf I think i found how to reproduce that bug. I think current your issue appeared you got settings like this image To fix it temporary go to System Preferences - Sound - Input and change microphone volume to maximum. Then restart app again. It should fix your problem and we will add additional validation to the next version

This workaround works for the internal microphone of the macbook, but not for an external microphone e.g. LG UltraFine Display Audio (external 5K Monitor)

Saw this same issue as well during a gotomeeting call. Seemed to "unstick" after the meeting ended

@dhf @jamischarles check our new version of the app which currently we distribute as a separate application https://mutify.app/. We fixed most of the issues and the bug we had with GoToMeeting

You can try it for free with 7-days trial and get 50% discount with promo code: MUTEME

However, the existing opensource version will stay forever free.
