About page
We should create an about.html
page that contains copy to explain: the CS club, this project, and some features that this application offers, as well as where we want to go in the future. Something like Burgh's Eye View's About page: http://analytics.pittsburghpa.gov/BurghsEyeView. We already have a link to this page in the navigation, but the page itself hasn't been created yet.
I'll hop on this one! Uh... is there a way to assign myself to the issue? Also, is there any particular format you want for this or should I just use the formats already present in the main.css file?
Uh... is there a way to assign myself to the issue?
Ha. Ha. I'm sorry @vonbearshark (no there's not, unfortunately)
@ajfortuna97 if you accept my invite to be a member of the CSC GH organization and a collaborator on this project, I can assign you. (Check your inbox.) I wish there was an easier way, haha.
You have a lot of leeway with this. We have no style for this page, and I'm open to whatever direction you think is interesting in terms of style/content. It should have a menu bar at the top that can navigate back to the home page. (That we have in the index.html
if you want to copy what we have there for now--if you want to make it look better, that's totally welcome, too.)
Any style you add can go at the bottom of main.css
, as long as you add a comment designating where you're adding it.
If you want help with the copy (text on the page), just let me know, and I can try and write something up!
Alright, I believe I grabbed the invitation for the group earlier today, @vonbearshark . Thanks for the note on the specifications.
Looks like you need to accept the invite to be a collaborator, too. Ha, sorry about that. Good to know, though.
Ah, there we go. I must have just dismissed the collaborator one after the group one. Whoops.
@ajfortuna97 Are you still working on this About page or am I able to remove you as an assignee? I'm fine with either one, but since it's been 4 months, I'd like to know if this can be assigned to somebody else.
