[Bug] drag and drop pinned tabs suddenly doesn't work
Abstract
Before today, you could drag and drop pinned tabs anywhere among the list of other pinned tabs, and they would go exactly where you dropped them. And you could tab through them in the right order.
Now you cannot. I drop one exactly where I want it to go, and it goes somewhere else! Very annoying. Hitting tab goes through them all in a weird apparently random order. I can't see any order.
Steps to reproduce
Open latest FF, install TST. Sorry, all that new profile stuff is beyond me. 3. add some tabs, pin them in a fixed order. 4. drag and drop them here and there. 5. see that they're not in order, and you can't drop them where you want to.
Environment
Windows 11 Firefox 139.0.1 TST: no idea! I click on the button, and it takes me here.
Thanks for your help!
Thanks, this should be fixed with the commit 3fde396.
BTW, it is a rendering issue and tabs are rearranged internally with correct position. Please try to reopen the sidebar to render pinned tabs from clean state, it is a workaround until the newer version with the fix become available.
Thanks. When I do that, I can tab in the correct order again.
But if I move a pinned tab, it always ends up at the end of the list of pinned tabs still.
And the tab order goes out of whack again.
Does that commit fix this? If so, wonderful. That was quick!
Try the development build as a temporary extension if you seriously need the update ASAP. https://github.com/piroor/treestyletab?tab=readme-ov-file#development-builds It is available until you restart Firefox.
Whenever I add a pinned tab it gets added at the end. When reordering the same result, it is added to the end. (For the rest: love this extension for the last 5 years or so!)
The fix works perfectly. Many thanks from down under!
