CRISPResso amplicon length cap?

Does CRISPResso have a maximum length for inputted amplicons? I am testing with nanopore long read data, and have an easy time with things in the 1-5kb range. When I move up to a 15kb region, things get more difficult. Wondering if there is a specific max amplicon size.

Hi @gmehigan,

Thank you for using CRISPResso and this is a great question! CRISPResso doesn't have an explicit maximum length for amplicons, but rather the maximum length is limited by the amount of RAM your computer has. Theoretically if you add more RAM you should be able to use longer amplicon sequences, but as you have experienced it doesn't always practically work out that way. If you have access to a computer with more RAM, we would suggest that.
