Certain Colors In Interactive Mode Can't Be Changed

Describe the bug Certain colors in interactive mode can't be changed.

To Reproduce Change all the colorable regions to red (for debugging purposes, not because this is a desirable theme). Notice some areas are not red.

Expected behavior All regions should be able to be colored as desired, we shouldn't be stuck with colors we don't want for certain regions.

Screenshots I will show below what happens when all colors are set to red. whatever isn't red is not configurable as far as I can tell.

Additional context Particularly frustrating is the blue on the currently-being-inputted region when I add an event, makes things utterly illegible in the very field I need to see as I type.
