Provide alarm information

I recently started using khal and I'm really enjoying it but what I'm missing is a way to figure out when alarms should trigger. I've found some issues already where alarm notifications are requested and I understand the reasons why they are not included in the project. So, this is not an issue for requesting that.

I want to write a simple script to show said notifications but I cannot find a way to show the time an event should show the alarm but only whether the event has an alarm attached to it or not. What I would like to know is if there is a way to show the alarm information in standard out so that it can be piped into something that handles the notifications or if the only option is to deal with the ics files themselves and parse them myself.
