How do I interpret the AQI numbers

Open yshui opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

In the US AQI has an established meaning as well as how the numbers should be interpreted:

This is clearly not what Enviro outputs. So what index does enviro use for its AQI? Is a 13 AQI good or bad?

From what I've seen on the forums, the AQI is given as a percentage. So I just take the values and multiply by 5 to get the 0-500 AQI numbers. Well, actually, I took the AQI categories and divided them by 5 to get the percentage.

Mine hovers around 12.8-13, which is the low end of moderate. I don't know how reliable the AQI sensor readings on the Enviro are anyway. There is some discussion in the forums that the way the Enviro reads the data is somewhat dubious.
