rlwrap-jdb and ddd

Dear rlwrap-jdb'eans, i wonder if rlwrap-jdb is the glue one needs to make jdb (almost) compatible with the data-display-debugger ddd. I need the latter ones object-graph-drawing capabilities that work excellent for gdb-ddd but not for jdb-ddd (not even for toy-examples). (1) Is rlwrap-jdb worth a try? (2) Is there any other way out making it possible to visualize object-diagrams -- with or without ddd?
