I contacted the developer unfortunately he is not going to maintain this package as its a pretty old project of his.
Do you know of any alternatives? How can we find someone else to transfer this package to?

If someone knows good enough android and ios development (native) they can manage it. I've tried to resolve a few issues here and there but I am not an expert, so most probably, unless @pikaju decides to make a come back, you're pretty much on your own.
