Simulation : current on discharge

I’m staring at the design, and I know from watching the breakfast vids that it works but I don’t understand how the current flows through the coil(inductor) when the charged side of the cap is connected to Gnd. Anyone know of a spice or other sim I could watch or play with. Or if someone could dumb it down for me. :)
