A navigation delegate can be set to block navigation in the webview.

a navigation_delegate can be added to the InAppWebView

Alternatives I've considered: Wrapping the Inappwebview widget with an ignorepointer/absorbpointer widget. however, if your webview is meant to be scrollble, these widgets deny your users that option.
