Firefox extension still broken

Summary

Steps to reproduce

(Please provide detail steps). The Firefox extension has not been working since at least December 2019 when Firefox 71 was released.

What is the current bug behaviour?

The extension incorrectly claims to be connected when it is not clearly not (a simple IP check verifies this).

When the browser restarts, the extension icon is green (connected) but opening it up shows that "No Region Selected" is shown, and it is in fact disconnected. Despite selecting a region and restarting, this persists.

What is the expected correct behaviour?

The extension should connect when I ask it to and re-connect when the browser is restarted.
