Since for KV usage, we need simple operations, i prefer to use Data API with native fetch if possible :)

getItem will return `null` for unexisting keys, instead of `undefined`

I think `undefined` would be better idea only this is a breaking change.

You are right. PR welcome to introduce a single new driver. We can reexport it as local/session storage for ease of use and bw compatibility.
