This feature request is in reference to Google Review
CRUD API:
- Personally I would maybe integrate with a SUPABASE API As they basically provide the entire APR you would require out of the box with SUPABASE STORAGE. I understand the whole like, save to local, but can you also get kind of annoying? There's a way to create like a SUPABASE app Which makes their creation very simple and the free tier is very very generous.
Auto-Record:
- Well, I would have to do some research on how exactly that would work, but I just know that Fireflies Chrome extension does it out of the box, so just start recording. So I assume it must be possible. Sorry that I cannot provide a definite answer right now. I just wanted to give you maybe the hint that it is possible. Not sure if they have some custom licensing agreement for that, but I don't think so. Maybe on the weekend I can do some research myself.
Vision I run an AI agency so the transcripts are highly important and inform a lot of my proposals or other elements. So having something I can rely on and I really only need the transcript or the audio even because then I run it through ASSEMBLY which in my opinion has the best transcriptions Especially with the new model coming up called SLAM-1. The speaker labels is also awesome.
If you want to, you can do some research sessions together about the auto record because I think that's like an absolute must-have feature because I just don't want to think of it myself. Even the notification is not enough. If you make it so annoying that it doesn't even start, I would be happy with that as well. It's just every record must be recorded out of the box in some shape or form.

CRUD API: By this do you mean, saving recordings online somewhere? If that's the case we're soon going to launch GDrive integration, which would automatically upload recordings to GDrive. Just an honest disclaimer, it would be paid, though not as expensive as other paid extensions though. Also if you mean something else by the CRUD api and not saving recordings only, please do share some usecases/examples.
Auto-Record: Installed and checked Fireflies extension, they do have auto transcribing for meetings, that's certainly something we can do, just not sure when because of our priorities and the bandwidth we have(2 folks with full time jobs). Also they also claim that they can auto record audio and seems like they have soundbites named functionality in their webapp, but not sure how they're doing it, because chrome doesn't let you record audio/video without user interaction. We'll have to research more here though, or if you have some insights, would love them. Also an alternate solution for auto recording, is to let a bot join your meeting, but we don't plan to go that route for now, maybe in future.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that if we could provide auto recording even if its (audio+transcriptions and not video), it would be super helpful to users, will have to research more, since i'm not sure of the solution yet.
