Feature Request: Password options

Open DocSniper opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

It would be great to have options to modify the resulting password. Because some pages do not accept special character or accept digits only or only a certain length. Please take a look at the screenshot. I think many users would be happy to have such features. Thanks.

In general I agree, but Android PwdHash is supposed to be an implementation of https://www.pwdhash.com/ and doing changes like that would make it incompatible with that and the existing implementations (like the many browser extensions that exist).

In the end pwdhash.com has some flaws that could be improved, and offering options like you show would help in this. But I have currently no plans to extending the scope of this app in this direction.

please rethink the "wont-fix" you can hide the extra settings behind an "advanced setting" checkbox and add a warning/info message after clicking the checkbox. adding this would safe us from using closed source software https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ginkel.hashit

I'll probably accept clean patches for this, but right now I have zero interest working on this myself, sorry.
