Changing IP-Adress / Port through Update?

Open Thomosaurus6 opened this issue 10 months ago • 2 comments

I've just gone through the documentation again: Normally, the configuration (IP / Port) should be saved across multiple sessions, restarts, etc. Most of the time, this works—but every now and then, everything resets back to 127.0.0.1.

I suspect Windows and Office updates might be causing this...

Is there a way to permanently store the correct IP address somewhere in the installation directory (e.g., in a .txt file or something similar)? Or could a feature be added in the next version that saves the IP address somewhere else and restores/overwrites it when PowerPoint starts?

Thanks in advance—awesome plugin!

Can I check what version of the add-in you're using here? The new 2.1-beta version has new features that (I hope) handle this better.
