File and process limits in OSX

This is an issue I've run into before with Gulp, because OSX limits the number of processes and open files, and it isn't hard to see how that can be exceeded with a large extension.

Resource limits can be temporarily reset (in this example to 2048) by running ulimit -S -n 2048 before the gulp task.

I thought you might want to add a note about that somewhere in your docs because Gulp's error messages aren't particularly helpful. It took me some time to find a solution when I started using Gulp.

Yes. I have seen that happen in a couple of collaborator's computers. I'll add this to the documentation and I will try to simplify it.
