Exclude whole folder hierarchies (e.g. Android/media)
By default, e.g. the whole folder hierarchy Android/media is included in the sync. This means if you e.g. use the official Nextcloud app which stores locally available files under Android/media/com.nextcloud.client, you end up manually excluding every single folder under this folder (and as soon as the Nextcloud app caches a new folder, you have to exclude that again). Otherwise all those files are synced, too.
Proposal:
- Exclude everything under /Android or /Android/media from the sync per default
- Make the manually excluded folder list recursively, so if a parent folder is excluded, every child folder is excluded (and does not even show up in the list of folders in the Ui)
- or both
Hi, can you test latest 1.15? It includes a UI change that automatically toggle every child folder (they still show up in the UI because you can toggle them independently)
I don't really see the change. I still see a huge list of folders under Android/media/org.nextcloud.client which contain media synced by the client, and I seem to have to disable every single one of them?
I guess you did not get the latest release. You will still see the whole list of folders, but disabling the parent will disable all of them. Where did you get the release from (fdroid? playstore?)
I installed from F-Droid, and the version says 1.15.
App should have better file management.
you can lean it from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.tacit.android.foldersync.lite
