Search/filter for album categories

Searching and filtering is generally working very well on my instance. However, the "category" filter, as documented here only works for location categories, not album categories.

Being able to filter for album categories by name would be very nice, as they are a cool way to group albums together. So having e.g. a separate album for family meetups, but being able to display all of them (by virtue of their shared category) would be super useful.

It's because these are LOCATION categories extracted from geodata: https://photoprism.app/kb/search-filters

For the regular search, there is no Album Category filter implemented yet (only for albums in the Albums view).

Note we are still on vacation, so I can't start a search for related feature request on GitHub. There's a good chance you might find it there already though.

Thank you for the clarification! And of course there is absolutely no need to do anything while you're on vacation – thank you for all your work on photoprism! I wasn't even aware that you could assign the same categories you can add to albums also to locations.

I'll change the description to a feature request – I did search the issues for similar terms before opening this, so I don't think there's one already. If I'm wrong, please just close as duplicate whenever you have time.
