Containers compatibility

Firefox Containers were a Firefox Test Pilot experiment which ended last year. They graduated to an addon later.

Would it be possible to use them with Panorama View in some way? As in, is it feasible?

I have been playing with the idea of being able to set what container a group uses by default. So any new tabs you make in that group become that container, and if you move a tab to it it will change container, etc. But as of now it's not something I'm working on.

This behavior is probably best left out of Panorama View. If you want strong coupling between tab groups and container tabs then you probably want to use Conex instead of Panorama View. If you want to use tab groups and sometimes also use containers when you probably want to use Panorama View with another WebExtension to handle container functionality; they should work in parallel.

I'm not sure it should be discarded so quickly. There are numerous ways to implement such a coupling, some strong and some very loose. A simple "Set container" button in a group configuration as @photodiode explained would already be a giant step with minimal UI crowding.

I'd like this functionality as well. Without integrating it into the extension, it would be difficult to manage what container tabs are in for each group. Obviously, make it optional so people who don't want to use containers don't have to.

I would also like this A LOT!

Containers are very useful when applied to groups!!!
