Frictionalized diacritic
Look into four cases of the frictionalized diacritic that are a bit odd:
ɭ͓ njo (Ao), upsid
ɖr̠͓ plt (Malagasy), upsid
ɾ͓ tna (Tacana), upsid
r͓̪|r͓ gug (Guarani), upsid
Squibs in email.
Notes so far:
ɭ͓ njo (Ao), upsid: voiced retroflex lateral fricative. ɮ̠ is a possibility, though not obviously better than what we have already.
ɖr̠͓ plt (Malagasy), upsid: voiced affricated retroflex trill (also a voiceless one). This one is wrong, shouldn't get frictionalized diacritic. Could be ɖɽ or ɖr̠
ɾ͓ tna (Tacana), upsid: need squib.
r͓̪|r͓ gug (Guarani), upsid: voiced alveolar/dental fricative trill. Apparently Czech and Kobon also have such a sound. There used to be an IPA symbol for this, prior to 1990: ɼ U+027C LATIN SMALL LETTER R WITH LONG LEG. Tempting to ressurect it, to make our automatic feature assignment easier.
