MPEG-TS License

Hello! Very interesting project ! I cannot find information about MPEG-TS license and patents, are all the patents expired for MPEG-TS ? Are in general video containers under license limit or fee? I cannot find info online. Thank you!

To the best of my knowledge, all the patents related to MPEG1, MP2, MPEG-PS and MPEG-TS have expired.

This article states that patents in the US are valid for at most 20 years. Considering that MPEG-TS was published in 1995, there should be no valid patent left. I'm not a lawyer so don't take my word for it. But also, consider that nobody cares about MPEG1 anymore.
