I'm heading out to a "Introduction to AngularJS" meetup, so I'll rewrite it all in Angular immediately afterwards.

I'd suggest using https://github.com/colynb/vanilla.js for the framework behind this project. It should really help with decoupling your code, and keep things light weight.

Plus AngularJS is changing their framework, and change is too scary.
