Downloaded and installed latest .exe, but cannot launch it

I have very limited options trying to get this application launched. I told the initial wizard where my stash.exe is (My Downloads), then on the next screen I selected the Edge browser. Then I all I get is the same error over and over

After pressing Okay, this error pops up and it closes my running stash instance. No matter what I try, it goes the same way. I don't know what opening a Stash browser "using a bookmark" means. I have Stash running in Edge, several tabs

I've tried closing all browser processes in Task Manager, but that doesn't do anything for this. I removed "Edge" as the browser in my registry settings (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stash_Helper), but changing to Firefox (I don't have that installed) or Chrome just brings up different error messages. Those don't subsequently close my running Stash instance tho....

I need help on getting this application to run
